Ingredient: bovine colostrum
Freeze dried bovine colostrum is a supplement for dogs and cats of all ages which is gently freeze dried in small batches in Lake Forest, Illinois.  The colostrum comes from cows that are from a small organic family farm in Wisconsin and contains no preservatives, additives, steroids or hormones.   After a calf is born, the calf consumes colostrum from its mother for the first 12 hours.  For the next 24 hours the colostrum is then collected so it is not taken at the time the calf needs it.  
 
Bovine colostrum supports and strengthens the gut lining and immune system as it helps regulate the thymus gland and immune cells (T and B cells) plus supplies immunoglobulins (IgG and IgA).  There is an ingredient in colostrum called proline-rich polypeptide (PRP) which has been known to help with allergy symptoms. 
 
Add water to rehydrate; most beneficial when given at least 20 minutes before a meal but may also be used as a meal topper or added to bone broth. Can also be used to help soothe hot spots + insect bites by creating a paste and applying directly to the skin.
 
Each 1oz bag makes approximately 6oz of rehydrated bovine colostrum.
